I took to blogging to help others understand disability life as a full-time wheelchair user and try to explain the struggles we face on a day-to-day basis.
I want to help other disabled people find the right venues and buy the right products for their needs. I do this by reviewing the venues I’ve visited and the products I have used. I also review holidays. As a disabled person who uses a wheelchair, it’s very important to get access right.
So many holiday lets advertise as being “accessible” when in reality, they are nothing close to being accessible. This is where I would like to educate businesses on what being accessible really means. Just because a wheelchair user can get through your front door, does not mean you are either “wheelchair accessible” or “wheelchair friendly”!
